I hate talking on the phone…

I have to admit, if there is one thing in life that I’d be happy to avoid, it is the phone. I could deal without it. It’s not that I don’t think the phone is an excellent invention, on the contrary, its brilliant, but you just never know when you are going to bother the person on the other line. There are so many factors that go into a phone call that could tell me what the person thinks of me if I call him/her. Everything goes through my mind as I have the phone to my ear; calling someone.  I mean, even when someone doesn’t answer the phone, how do you know that the person wasn’t home? Maybe he/she is avoiding your calls. Isn’t that way caller ID was invented? I mean no one has ever given me that impression that they wouldn’t want to talk to me in person, but I just get paranoid when I can’t see the person’s face. I always think that I’m calling at a bad time and the person on the other line has something really important going on. I guess the phone and I have a love-hate relationship. Its ok, we’ll eventually work it out… maybe.

You may say, what about texting? Well yes, I do use that often, but even then, I don’t want someone’s phone going off if they are doing something important? Do you see where I’m coming from? I guess I’m being too cautious, but I try not to bother people. Although, if you are in the middle of something important why don’t you have your phone on silent? I have to be honest, I always have my phone on vibrate, it’s a bit shocking, but I find ringers annoying. So, if you need to call me, don’t worry about my ringer going off because I don’t have one! This is why I enjoy email; email can’t bother someone, it just sits there, and when the person is ready, he/she can answer it when ready. It’s silent, quick, and easy. I enjoy it. Ok, I’m just rambling on about something, but I just wanted to write a post since I didn’t get around to one yesterday. Thank for reading this!

Till later, Turtle.
